As the season shifts toward fall, join Leah for a retreat in the PNW forest.
Morning slow flow.
Evening yin and sound. Forest air.
Warm chai.
Quiet mornings.
Starlit nights.
One afternoon into evening held in silence.
Guided by our chef, we’ll prepare an Ayurvedic meal meant for this time of year, grounding, warming, uncomplicated food your body can settle into. Food you can make again when you get home and it’s dark at 5pm and life speeds back up.
Ayurveda has always felt practical to me. A way of paying attention to our own rhythms and what happens when we return to simple rituals and remedies that support us.
By the end of the weekend, you’ll know how to prepare a fall kitchari and why Ayurveda puts so much emphasis on seasonal transitions in the first place.
You don’t need to know anything about Ayurveda or yoga to be here. Just a willingness to let things get a little quieter than usual.
The Location
Tucked among the trees just a short walk from the shores of the Puget Sound, Harper’s Hill is a secluded woodland retreat space designed to support rest, reflection, and seasonal renewal. Nature sets the pace here, inviting a slower rhythm of living and a deeper connection to the cycles of the earth.
For The Tending Season, Harper’s Hill becomes a quiet container for Ayurvedic seasonal practice, gentle movement, restorative rest, and time in nature. Days unfold between guided sessions, nourishing meals, and walks through forested trails or down to the nearby Harper Pier. The water-level dock offers a refreshing seasonal plunge into the Puget Sound, inviting a direct experience of the elements.
Only 45 minutes from Seattle by ferry, the property feels both accessible and quietly removed from everyday life. Its simple, rustic comforts support a return to essentials and create space for the nervous system to settle and reset.
Harper’s Hill offers a grounded setting for seasonal transition where practice is supported by land, water, and stillness, and the invitation is to arrive, soften, and listen.
